When the heart is distant from the dunya and close to Allah, when the body is living on the dunya, but the mind is in the afterlife, that’s the moment when the heart calls out ”O Allah, I love you and want to return to you.”
The rest of the body will follow and the eyes will cry because they…
You can compare your struggle in this life to that of a school boy. The hard-working children are always laughed at in school. They do their best to get good grades, are serious in class, and try to make the best of their future. They understand the importance of a education and know how much it will affect their future life.
Once they graduate they are in such a great position, all that hard work has finally paid off and now they are relaxing. They have a good job, a good stable income, and can do all the enjoyable things which they saved for later so that they could focus on their studies.
Now the people who used to laugh at them look up to them. They are jealous and wish they had did the same, they regret insulting them and belittling them, they never used to listen but now they see the truth for themselves.
The case will be the same on the Day of Judgment. A lot of people are laughing at you for believing in Allah and the Day of Reckoning, they laugh at you because you pray, they insult you because you grow a beard or wear a Hijab, and they constantly try to humiliate you for trying to be a good Muslim.
But my dear brothers and sisters, that day will come, and once that day arrives all of these people will feel so ashamed of themselves .. They will see you, radiating a immense light due to all the good deeds you had done, preparing for that day. And they will cry tears of blood when they see you entering trough the gates of Paradise, the Angels greeting you with Peace, and finally receiving the promise of Allah, and being able to relax and enjoy for eternity.
And where will they be? .. They will be punished in the fire prepared for the arrogant, greedy, proud evil-doers!
